Erza Muqoli French Singer From Sarreguemines

Early life

Erza Muqoli was born on 21 September 2005 in Sarreguemines, in the Moselle department of eastern France. Her family has roots in Kosovo and settled in France in the early 1990s, and she is the youngest of four children. She began studying piano and singing at the Sarralbe music school at the age of seven.

Career

Muqoli first became known to a national audience in the 2014-2015 season of the M6 talent show La France a un incroyable talent. For her audition she accompanied herself on piano while singing "Papaoutai" by Stromae. One member of the jury, Gilbert Rozon, buzzed her, but the other judges voted to send her through. In the semi-final she performed "Éblouie par la nuit", a song associated with Zaz, and received a standing ovation. She reached the final, where she sang Édith Piaf's "La Vie en rose", and finished in third place.

In 2015 she became a founding member of Kids United, a group of children assembled for a UNICEF France campaign and meant to cover songs about peace and hope. She was ten when its first single, "On écrit sur les murs", became a hit; the song reached number 3 on the French singles chart and spent twelve weeks in the top ten. By the end of 2017 the group had released three studio albums, and each one went to the top of the French albums chart. In 2016 she supplied the voice of the character Lucie in the French-language version of the Québécois animated film Snowtime!. In May 2018 the original line-up split after almost three years together, and a new group of five children, called Kids United New Generation, took its place. Her time as a member is recorded as running from 2015 to 2018, and other members listed alongside her include Nilusi and Valentina Tronel.

Muqoli moved to solo work in 2019. At the end of May she released her first solo single, "Je chanterai", written and composed by the singer Vianney. It reached number 36 in French-speaking Belgium, number 28 on the airplay chart there, and number 123 on the French download chart. A second song, the acoustic ballad "Dommage", also written by Vianney, appeared on 6 September 2019 and entered the French download chart at number 96.

Her first solo album, titled Erza Muqoli, was released on 25 October 2019 through the label Tôt ou tard. Vianney wrote and composed the whole record. It entered the French albums chart at number 31 and the Walloon albums chart at number 37. Six days before its release, on 19 October, a filmed concert called Erza Muqoli: le concert privé au cinéma was put out, in which she presented songs from the album ahead of its official premiere. Her music is listed as pop, and piano is the instrument recorded for her.

A tour planned for 2020 was due to open in Ludres on 14 March and to include a concert at the Olympia in Paris on 4 April. It was first postponed and later cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the same year she joined the Green Team, a group of artists who sing to raise awareness of environmental issues, and she was the lead voice on the group's first single, "Les enfants du monde". Since October 2020 she has also run an official online shop selling her album, clothing and accessories; it opened around the first anniversary of the album's release.

As of April 2025 her YouTube channel had about 189,000 subscribers, and in October 2026 her Instagram account had more than 320,000 followers.

Recognition

Muqoli's third-place result on La France a un incroyable talent and the number-one albums she recorded with Kids United are among her best-documented achievements. Her solo album, Erza Muqoli, reached the French and Walloon charts.
