Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Wiki of Celebs collects when you visit the site, why, and what choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Wiki of Celebs. You can reach us about anything in this policy through our contact form. We do not publish a postal address or phone number; every request sent through the form is read by the editorial team.
What we collect and why
Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site. We use Google Consent Mode: until you click Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets no cookies and reads none. In that state Google may receive basic, cookieless signals (for example that a page was viewed), without an identifier that recognises you on a later visit. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its cookies and measures visits in the usual way. Advertising features are always switched off: we do not use Google Analytics data for ads, remarketing or ad personalisation.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you reject after accepting, we remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
Google processes this data as our service provider and may process it on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under its standard data protection terms.
Contact form
If you write to us, we store the request type, the page you are writing about (if you give one), your name, your email address, your message, and for profile claims and removal requests also your role or relationship to the person, the official channel you give for verification and what you ask us to remove, your browser's user agent and a one-way hashed form of your IP address. The hash lets us limit abuse of the form; it cannot be turned back into your IP address. We use this data only to answer and handle your request. We keep it as long as we need it for that and for a record of what was changed on the site; you can ask us to delete it at any time.
The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the form is sent by a person rather than a bot. Turnstile runs only on the contact page.
Server and security logs
Like every website, our servers record technical information about each request: IP address, requested page, date and time, browser and the referring page. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working, and they are deleted automatically after a few weeks.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, a content delivery and security network. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data to deliver pages quickly and to block attacks.
Page view counter
Articles count how many times they were opened. The counter stores only a number per article; it uses no cookie and does not record who you are.
Videos
Some pages show YouTube video previews. The preview image is loaded from YouTube's image servers. The video player itself is loaded only when you click play, and it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie). Once you start a video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to it.
Instagram data
What. For some people featured on the site we show public metrics of their Instagram professional (business or creator) account: follower count, number of posts, and the average likes and comments of recent posts, from which we calculate an engagement rate. We obtain these figures through Meta's official Instagram Graph API (Business Discovery), which only returns data that professional accounts make public. We do not collect captions, comments, messages, photos or any data about the people who follow or interact with these accounts, and we do not access personal (non-professional) accounts.
Why. To give readers an up-to-date, dated picture of a public figure's reach on Instagram, as part of the profile.
How long. The figures are refreshed about every 30 days and each one is shown with the date it was measured. If an account becomes unavailable (for example it is made private, deleted or switched to a personal account), we stop showing its figures immediately, delete the stored numbers, and remove the remaining record within 30 days.
Estimates. Any figure labelled as an estimate is our own calculation from public data. It is not information provided by the person or by Meta, and actual rates are agreed privately. See how we calculate estimates.
Your choices. If you are the account holder or represent them, you can object to this use or ask us to remove the Instagram figures (or the whole profile) through our removal request form. We review every request and reply by email.
Wiki of Celebs is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta or Instagram. Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.
What we do not do
- We do not show advertising.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
- We do not ask you to create an account, and the site has no comments.
- We do not use your data for automated decisions about you.

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example during a bot check). These are not used for tracking.
Legal bases
Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), we rely on:
- your consent for analytics cookies;
- our legitimate interest in answering messages, keeping the site secure and preventing abuse;
- legal obligations where we must keep or disclose data by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. To use any of these rights, send a request through our contact form. We answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Authority, KVKK).
People shown on this site
Wiki of Celebs publishes information about public figures that comes from public sources. If you are a person featured on the site, or represent one, and want information corrected or removed, use the contact form and choose the matching request type.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
