Sree Vishnu Indian Actor Born 1985 in Visakhapatnam

Sree Vishnu is an Indian actor who works mainly in Telugu cinema. Born Rudraraju Vishnuvardhan, he spent years in small parts before a lead role in 2013 opened the way to a run of comedies in which he plays the main character. His credits as of 2026 include Appatlo Okadundevaadu, Mental Madhilo, Samajavaragamana, Om Bheem Bush and Single.

Early life

Vishnu was born in Antarvedipalem, in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, and studied in Visakhapatnam. He completed a Bachelor of Business Management with honors at the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management. During his college years he belonged to a theatre group, and he also played for the Andhra under-19 cricket team.

After his studies he worked as a web designer in Hyderabad. In 2006 he left that job to try his luck in the film industry, and he began as an assistant director. He is a friend of the actor Nara Rohit, with whom he has worked on several films.

Career

Before his first film roles, Vishnu acted in a number of short films. One of them, Bewars, directed by Pavan Sadineni, gained a following on YouTube. His first appearances in feature films were small parts in Baanam and Solo.

In 2013 Sadineni offered him a lead role in Prema Ishq Kaadhal, the film generally described as his breakthrough. The same year he appeared in Second Hand, and a review in The Times of India singled out his delivery of dialogue. In 2014 he played the son of a home minister in Prathinidhi, a film starring Nara Rohit. He then took several more minor roles.

In 2016 Vishnu played a lead part in Appatlo Okadundevaadu, which is his earliest credit in the structured film records. A year later he was in Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi, a supporting performance that earned him a nomination for the SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2017 he also starred in Mental Madhilo (listed in some records as MentalMadhilo), and from that point he increasingly took leading roles in comedies. The titles from this phase include Brochevarevarura in 2019, Raja Raja Chora in 2021 and Bhala Thandanana in 2022.

Samajavaragamana followed in 2023, and in 2024 he appeared in Om Bheem Bush, directed by Sree Harsha Konuganti. Single, released in 2025, continued the run of comedies in which he leads the cast. His most recent credit in the records is Mrithyunjay, dated 2026. Another film, Vishnu Vinyasam, was announced for a theatrical release at the end of February 2026, and its date was moved forward by one day so that it would open on a Friday.

In total, seven of his films appear in the structured credit records, running from 2016 to 2026. These records are far from complete, and several of his better known titles, among them Prema Ishq Kaadhal and Brochevarevarura, are not counted in them.

Recognition

Vishnu's only listed recognition is the SIIMA nomination for Best Supporting Actor connected with Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi. No wins are recorded.

Personal life

Few details of Vishnu's private life are documented in the sources used here. The public record notes his friendship with Nara Rohit, the actor with whom he has collaborated, and his early interests in theatre and cricket.
