Biography

Early life

Olivia Paige Dunne was born on 1 October 2002 and grew up in Hillsdale, New Jersey. She began gymnastics training in 2005 at ENA Gymnastics in Paramus, New Jersey. From the age of fourteen she was homeschooled by her mother so that she could spend her days training with her coach, Craig Zappa. She later attended Louisiana State University, finishing in 2024.

Career

Dunne made her elite debut at the 2014 American Classic, where she placed 28th in the all-around. She re-qualified as an elite in 2015 and made her debut at the national championships that year, finishing 25th. In 2016 she placed 12th in the all-around at the national championships, with eighth on balance beam and sixth on floor exercise. In March 2017 she was selected for the City of Jesolo Trophy, which brought her onto the national team for the first time. She finished sixth in the all-around in her international debut there, and she went on to be named to the US Junior Women's National Team. At the 2017 national championships she was ninth in the all-around.

She moved up to the senior ranks in 2018 and represented her club at that year's City of Jesolo Trophy, finishing 15th in the all-around. She qualified for the national championships by petition and placed 18th. After a break from competition in 2019, she signed a National Letter of Intent with Louisiana State University that November. In 2020 she competed at the Nastia Liukin Cup at Level 10, finishing 11th.

Dunne competed for the LSU Tigers women's gymnastics team from 2021 to 2024. In her first season she competed on the uneven bars in every regular-season meet, making her NCAA debut against Arkansas with a score of 9.875, and she scored 9.9 on bars at the SEC Championships. The following season she added the floor exercise, matching her career high of 9.925 on bars in the season-opening meet. She missed much of the 2022-23 season with injuries and made her season debut on 24 February against Alabama. In 2023-24 she competed eight floor routines, twice matching her career-high 9.9, and LSU won the SEC title and then the NCAA national championship, the first in the program's history. She took a fifth year of eligibility for 2024-25 but ended her college career after a knee injury early in the season, and she announced her retirement from gymnastics on 17 April 2025.

Alongside gymnastics, she built a large audience on social media. She joined TikTok in 2020, first posting gymnastics videos and later other parts of her life. After the NCAA changed its rules on 2 July 2021 to let athletes earn money from their name, image and likeness, she signed with WME Sports as the agency's first athlete of that kind, and then made an exclusive partnership with the activewear brand Vuori. By February 2023 she was the most-followed NCAA athlete on social media. Her endorsements have included Grubhub, Vuori, Bodyarmor and American Eagle Outfitters. In July 2023 she partnered with Bayou Traditions on The Livvy Fund, a program that connects LSU's female student athletes with brands for endorsement deals. She also appeared in The Money Game: LSU, a six-part Prime Video docuseries on name, image and likeness deals that followed several LSU athletes through the 2023-24 season.

She appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2023 and 2024, and for the 2025 edition she was one of four cover models. In March 2026 she was cast in a recurring role as Grace in a Baywatch reboot.

Recognition

Dunne was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2024. In 2025 she was included in the first TIME100 Creators list, which Time describes as a ranking of influential digital voices. The Money Game: LSU, the docuseries in which she appeared, was nominated for Outstanding Documentary Series (Serialized) at the 46th Sports Emmy Awards. Her college team won the national championship in 2024, a first for LSU gymnastics.
