Early life

Niti Taylor was born on 8 November 1994 in Delhi, India. Her father is Gujarati, and her mother is a Bengali Christian from Kolkata. She is an Indian actress whose work has centred mainly on Hindi-language television, with a smaller number of appearances in film, music videos and reality programming.

Career

Taylor entered television in 2009 with the series Pyaar Ka Bandhan, when she was fifteen. Her first widely noticed part came a few years later in Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, a show broadcast by MTV India. She played Nandini Murthy, the female lead, opposite Parth Samthaan, and the role is the one most often associated with her early career.

Alongside her television work she began to appear in music videos. In 2016 she was cast opposite Siddharth Gupta in "Parindey Ka Pagalpan". A year later she took the part of Shivani in the crime thriller Ghulaam, where her co-star was Param Singh. In 2019 she joined the cast of Ishqbaaz as Mannat Kaur Khurana, and in the same year she appeared in "Cappuccino", a Punjabi-language music video.

Her film credits are limited. The one feature on record is Mem Vayasuku Vacham, released in 2012.

In 2022 Taylor took part in the tenth season of the dance competition Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She was paired with the choreographer Akash Thapa, and the two were eliminated during the semi-final weekend. The following year she returned to scripted television as Prachi Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, a Sony TV series in which Randeep Rai played the male lead.

Across these projects she has moved between drama serials, a thriller, short music productions and a dance show, which gives her career a broader range than a single long-running role would suggest.

Recognition

Taylor has appeared several times in a ranking compiled by the British newspaper Eastern Eye, its list of the 50 Sexiest Asian Women. She entered the list in December 2015 at fifteenth place, the highest position held by any newcomer that year. In the 2016 edition she ranked twelfth, and in 2018 she reached tenth place.

She also has a large audience online. As of October 2026, her Instagram account had more than 6.3 million followers, which places her among the more widely followed television actresses on that platform.

Personal life

Taylor became engaged to Parikshit Bawa on 13 August 2019. The couple married on 13 August 2020, exactly one year after the engagement.
