Biography
Early life
Quevedo, whose full name is Pedro Luis Domínguez Quevedo, was born on 7 December 2001 in Madrid. When he was about a year old his family moved to Brazil, where they stayed until he was roughly five. They then returned to Spain and settled in Las Palmas, in the Canary Islands. He attended the San Antonio María Claret School and later began a university degree in business administration and management, which he abandoned so that he could devote himself fully to music. In 2020 he started freestyling and teamed up with the producer Linton to put out his first tracks.
Career
Quevedo began his professional career in 2020. His single "Ahora y Siempre", released in 2021, reached 19th place on Spotify's Global Viral 50 chart. A year later he appeared with two fellow Canarian artists, Cruz Cafuné and Bejo, on a remix of "Cayó la Noche", a track that was widely embraced in the islands.
His wider breakthrough arrived in July 2022 with "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52", made with the Argentine producer Bizarrap. The recording was the first by a Spanish artist to reach number one on Spotify's Global Top 200. In January 2023 he issued his first studio album, Donde quiero estar, which included guest appearances by Myke Towers and Omar Montes. Later in 2023 he released the single "Columbia", which became one of his most commercially successful songs.
In February 2024, after putting out the reflective track "La última", Quevedo announced that he was stepping away from music for a time. During that pause he released a song called "7" in July under the name Peter Lewis, an English rendering of his first names Pedro Luis. The release drew little attention until he disclosed the alias several months afterward.
He came back in October 2024 with the single "Duro", which entered the Spanish chart at number one. His second studio album, Buenas noches, followed in November 2024 and took the top twelve positions of the Spanish chart in its first week. In 2025 he toured in support of the album. He has made a habit of releasing a significant single each year on 7 July, and the 2025 song "TUCHAT" marked the fourth year in a row he had done so.
In 2026 he released the album El Baifo and the singles "Al golpito" and "La Graciosa", and he toured again under the El Baifo name. As of 2026 he has had sixteen number-one songs in Spain. Earlier tours include the Donde quiero estar tour of 2023.
Quevedo is a singer, songwriter and rapper, and he is closely associated with the urban music scene of the Canary Islands. His deep vocal tone is a recognisable part of his sound, and his songs mix reggaeton, pop rap and trap; his catalogue is classified as Latin trap and reggaeton. His recordings have come out through Rimas Entertainment.
