Early life

Federica Nargi was born on 5 February 1990 in Rome. She attended a dance school from childhood and entered several beauty contests as a teenager. In 2007 she won the Miss Roma title and then the national Miss Cotonella title, which led her to the final of Miss Italia that year, where she placed eleventh.

Career

Nargi's television career began in the summer of 2008, when she entered the Canale 5 talent show Veline. She won the final on 18 September 2008 as a pair with Costanza Caracciolo. The two were then the showgirl duo on the satirical programme Striscia la notizia for four consecutive editions, from 22 September 2008 to 10 June 2012. In the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons they also fronted Le nuove mostre, a comedy show on La5 created by Antonio Ricci.

She made her cinema debut in the summer of 2011 in Massimo Morini's Capitan Basilico 2 - I Fantastici 4+4. In the autumn of 2012 Nargi and Caracciolo competed on the Rai 2 reality show Pechino Express as the team "Le Veline", and in December of that year they took part in the cooking contest Cuochi e Fiamme Celebrities on LA7d, hosted by Simone Rugiati.

The year 2013 was busy for her. She appeared as a celebrity contestant on the Rai 1 game show Red or Black? - Tutto o niente, joined Melissa Satta on Italia 1's Forever Together Summer Show as a Calzedonia model, and presented the comedy programme Colorado ... a rotazione! on Italia 1 with Paolo Ruffini and Fiammetta Cicogna. In September she hosted the Rai 2 programme Facciamo pace with Niccolò Torielli, and in November she made her stage debut in Lui e Lei - Istruzioni per la coppia, directed by Federico Moccia, alongside Roberta Giarrusso and Gabriele Cirilli. She also appeared in the 2013 music video for Heroes by Ben Dj. In the spring of 2014 she took part in the first edition of the Rai 1 talent show Si può fare! and finished in second place.

In January 2015 she starred in the video for Il bello d'esser brutti by J-Ax. That September she was a participant in the first edition of Amadeus's comedy programme Stasera tutto è possibile on Rai 2, and during the 2015-16 season she hosted Premium Magazine, a magazine-style programme for the digital channels of Mediaset Premium. She also took a part in the television drama Il bello delle donne... alcuni anni dopo, playing Scilla Manfridi; the series was directed by Eros Puglielli and aired on Canale 5 between January and March 2017.

In 2017 she also appeared on the Sky Uno late-night show E poi c'è Cattelan, on the music game show Bring the Noise on Italia 1, and as a guest on Big Show. In the autumn she returned to Colorado, presenting its nineteenth season on Italia 1 with Paolo Ruffini and Gianluca Fubelli, known as Scintilla; the final episode of that season aired on 4 January 2018.

Alongside television, Nargi built a long record as a model and brand ambassador. She worked for the fashion house Koralline in 2012 and 2013, for Yamamay bags in 2013, and for Goldenpoint from 2013 to 2016. She modelled for the Follow Us clothing line from 2014 to 2016 and represented it at the Pitti Uomo fashion fair in January 2016. In 2015 she became a face of the Garnier brand, and in 2016 she appeared in campaigns for Sandro Ferrone and, with Alessandro Matri, for U.S. Polo Assn. She also posed for the cover of Lampoon magazine in the spring of 2016.

In 2017 she represented the clothing brand Mizuno at Pitti Uomo and appeared in a television campaign for Samsung's WindFree air conditioners. Later campaigns included the cosmetics line Hino and the Supertokio clothing brand in 2017, and Foreyever glasses in February 2018, when she took over the role from Belén Rodríguez. In 2018 she also appeared with Alessandro Matri in an advertisement for Netflix.
