Malika Ménard French Model Born 1987 in Rennes

Early life

Malika Ménard was born on 14 July 1987 in Rennes, France, and spent her youth in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, a town next to Caen in Normandy. She studied at the Lycée François de Malherbe in Caen, where she earned a baccalauréat in social sciences, and then entered the University of Caen Normandy to study law. During these years she also worked as a hostess at two sports grounds in the city, the Stade Michel d'Ornano and the Stade Malherbe.

Career

Ménard began her pageant career in 2009. On 17 September of that year she was crowned Miss Calvados, a title that gave her the right to enter the Miss Normandy contest. She won that too, and as the winner she became Normandy's candidate for Miss France 2010.

The national final was held in Nice, and Ménard took the crown. The contest was notable for its voting method: she was the first Miss France to be chosen entirely by the television audience instead of a jury, and she gathered 34 percent of the public vote. Later in 2010 she represented France at Miss Universe in Las Vegas, Nevada, and reached the top 15. At that event she was one of several contestants who turned down a topless photo shoot. Miss France rules bar a titleholder from posing nude before, during or after her reign, so agreeing would have put her title at risk. On 4 December 2010 she handed the Miss France crown to her successor, Laury Thilleman, at a ceremony in Caen.

Television work followed. In February 2011 Ménard started presenting Paris tout compris on France 3, covering for Virginie de Clausade, who was on maternity leave. De Clausade left for TF1 the next year, and Ménard took over as the show's regular host. From September 2013 she presented Paris, le club on France 3 together with Jean-Philippe Lustyk; the programme is about the football club Paris Saint-Germain.

She took part in other formats as well. On 28 June 2014 she was a participant in the game show Fort Boyard, and in May 2015 she appeared in the video for "On verra", a song by Nekfeu. On 17 December 2016 she served as a judge at the Miss France 2017 final in Montpellier. In 2017 she took on two new presenting jobs: in May she joined the channel NRJ 12 to host Dans les secrets de..., an investigative programme, and in June she began presenting 9h50 le matin en Normandie on France 3 Normandie.

Her public profile also extends online. As of October 2026 her Instagram account had roughly 385,000 followers.

Recognition

Ménard's main distinction is the Miss France 2010 title, which she won in the same year that she placed in the top 15 at Miss Universe. Her records list her occupations as model and beauty pageant contestant, and she has worked as a television host since her reign ended.
