Nicole de Boer is a Canadian actress who has worked mainly in television and film. She was born on 20 December 1970 in Toronto. Her best-known parts include a character in the 1997 science-fiction thriller Cube, the role of Ezri Dax on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Sarah Bannerman on The Dead Zone.

Career

Her first television appearance was an uncredited one in a holiday special that featured Red Skelton and Vincent Price. Her first significant television job came with the CBC series 9B. She then took a recurring part on the sketch comedy programme The Kids in the Hall, where she played Laura, the girlfriend of a character portrayed by Bruce McCulloch. A small appearance in the group's 1996 feature Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy followed.

The earliest feature credit on record for de Boer is Prom Night IV: Deliver Us from Evil, released in 1991. In 1995 she appeared in National Lampoon's Senior Trip, which is among the titles she is known for. Two years later she starred as Yuna in Deepwater Black, a short-lived series for the SyFy Channel that was also distributed under the title Mission Genesis. In the same year she played Joan Leaven in Cube, a film that is documented in more than forty language editions of the online encyclopedia. She also made two appearances in the Canadian-produced anthology series The Outer Limits.

Earlier, she had appeared in the film Ties That Bind (2007) and in TekWar (1994). Between 2016 and 2021 she had a recurring role as Becca D'Orsay, the former wife of one of the leads, in the Canadian crime drama Private Eyes.
