Early life

Ufo361 is the stage name of Ufuk Bayraktar, a German rapper and singer born on 28 May 1988 in West Berlin. His parents were of Turkish origin, and he grew up in the Kreuzberg district. His interest in hip hop began in childhood, and his first activity in the scene was as a graffiti sprayer with a crew known as THC. The artist name combines his first name, Ufuk, with the postal code of Kreuzberg, 36/61.

Career

Bayraktar signed with the label Hoodrich in 2010, which had been founded by a friend named Said. A first sampler from the label came out on 7 October 2011. Together with Said and the producer KD-Supier he formed the trio Bellini Boyz. In 2012 he put out an EP titled Bald ist dein Geld meins, and his first studio album, Ihr seid nicht allein, followed in August 2014.

His first widely noticed release was the single "Ich bin ein Berliner", issued in September 2015 to promote a mixtape of the same name. The title plays on the well-known speech by John F. Kennedy. The track spread quickly online in Germany and was shared by other rappers, among them members of the 187 Strassenbande, Haftbefehl and Fler. The mixtape appeared on 25 March 2016 and reached number 57 on the German albums chart. Less than eight months later he released Ich bin 2 Berliner, which climbed to number 13. The third mixtape in the series, Ich bin 3 Berliner, came out in April 2017 and is described as his first major success. It produced the singles "Mister T", "Für die Gang", "Der Pate" and "James Dean".

In April 2017 he founded his own label, Stay High. The next year he released 808, his second studio album, in April 2018, and it entered the German and Austrian album charts at number one. A third studio album, VVS, was released on 17 August 2018. In 2019 he signed a teenage newcomer named Data Luv to his label, and on 9 August of that year he released his fourth studio album, Wave. He also issued a joint album with Ezhel, titled Lights Out, on 14 November 2019.

In 2020 he released Rich Rich and, in the same year, Nur für dich, a collaboration with Sonus030. The year 2021 brought the album Stay High and a second release called Destroy All Copies, along with the single "7". After a break of about two years, during which he issued a number of singles, he returned with the album Love My Life in 2023. In 2024 he released Sony and Nur für dich 2, the latter also in a deluxe edition. No album appeared in 2025, though he continued to release singles, and the album Beware followed at the start of 2026.

Besides his own recordings, Ufo361 runs Stay High as a label for other acts. Kohei, an artist on the roster, released a record on it in 2024.

Recognition

His YouTube channel had about 1.46 million subscribers when it was last counted in May 2025. Chart success has been a recurring feature of his catalogue: the albums 808, along with the earlier Ich bin 2 Berliner and the first Ich bin ein Berliner mixtape, all entered the German charts, and 808 also reached the top of the Austrian one.
