A second short, Stranger Within Me, was screened at Cannes in 2014. On Pakistani television she starred in the sitcom Happily Married, which aired on ARY Digital in 2013, and took the lead in Shab-e-Arzu ka Alam opposite Mohib Mirza. She also appeared in the Hindi-language film Huff! It's Too Much.

Her breakthrough came with Muhabbat Ab Nahi Hugi in 2014, a romantic serial in which she played an antagonist. The part brought her a nomination at the Hum Awards, in the category for best villain. She followed it with the lead roles in the serials Ishq Parast and Karb in 2015, working in Karb alongside Adnan Siddiqui.

In 2015 she appeared in the romantic drama Bin Roye with Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed. The film was produced by Momina Duraid and adapted from the novel Bin Roye Aansu by Farhat Ishtiaq, and it was later reworked as a television serial of the same name. Khan played a girl-next-door character in both versions, and the film earned her a Lux Style Award nomination for best supporting actress. In the same year she appeared with Osman Khalid Butt in the music video for "Sajna", sung by Uzair Jaswal, which was well received and widened her audience.

Two further big-screen projects followed. Yalghaar, directed by Hassan Waqas Rana, was described as the most expensive film in the history of Pakistani cinema. Janaan, a romantic comedy directed by Azfar Jafri, released in 2016 and starred Khan as its female lead. Both films ranked among the highest-grossing Pakistani productions of all time. In November 2016 she signed for Rasm E Duniya, an ARY Digital drama that aired in 2017, where she played a woman caught in a romantic triangle. That year she also played a wife in difficulty in the social drama Daldal. In 2019 she took the lead in the patriotic war film Sherdil. After a break from television she returned in 2025 in the Hum TV serial Meri Tanhai.
